"Champions don't show up to get everything they want; they show up to give everything they have."
Our Mission
Fit To Champion exists to
empower youth and adults
to discover personal potential
by championing the rights of others.
What We Do
Fit To Champion (FTC) provides predator prevention services, addiction recovery support, and online/media safety programs through classroom guidance/student assembly presentations, addiction recovery support groups for youth and adults, and after-school fitness/mentoring programs - all aimed at building a community that is "better together" and champions the rights of one another.
"Others-focused leaders strive for impact on others. Self-focused people lead to scarcity thinking and a narrow, short-term focus. Others-focused people lead to abundance thinking and a broader, long-term view." (George Bradt)
Our Passion
FTC uses boxing imagery as a metaphor to show that we are in your “corner.” In schools, detention centers, fitness gyms and more, we aim to positively affect community climate by challenging students to value themselves and all human beings, think outside themselves, and stand up for others. FTC motivational presentations and support groups include teaching life skills such as perseverance, how to identify and invest in healthy relationships, long-term goal setting, and team mentality. Students and adults will hear stories from local community leaders who have made it their life goal to champion the rights of others. Additional mentoring opportunities include after-class or personal training boxing-fitness and exercise groups designed to foster personal confidence and team mentality.
